PHILADELPHIA, July 23, 2024 – Healy+ Group, a professional services firm and ancillary business of Cozen O’Connor, is excited to announce Shelley Godeke, Jenn Scott, and April Walls have joined its experienced staff of consultants and subject matter experts. The group welcomes these seasoned industry professionals to its rapidly growing consulting practice to provide strategy and expertise to higher education, private entities, health care, government, and non-profit entities to create safe, welcoming, and respectful environments for their employees, students, and community members.
Shelley Godeke joins Healy+ as a consultant for regulatory compliance. Godeke brings more than 25 years of higher education experience to the group. She began her work in Clery Act compliance with Baylor University in 2015, where she served as the institution’s first full-time Clery Act coordinator, and has earned her way to her most recent promotion as director of Clery compliance. Godeke also brings with her experience in campus safety communications and parking services. She has served as a member of various groups, such as The Campus Accommodation Committee addressing ADA compliance, the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Working Group, and the Title IX Case Management team. A loyal Lady Bear, Shelley graduated from Baylor with her BA in communications.
Prior to joining Healy+, Jenn Scott served as the Clery compliance specialist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she developed policies and processes across the institution, audited existing compliance structures, and created new training programs for various University stakeholders. She has also worked extensively in gender-based violence prevention and response on campuses and in community-based organizations. As the Title IX Coordinator at UNC Chapel Hill, she oversaw campus-wide training for Responsible Employees and served as an Assistant Director of the North Carolina State University Women’s Center, coordinating the peer education program, 24-hour hotline, and direct support services for students and employees. Scott joins the group as a consultant for regulatory compliance.
April Walls, who joins the group as a project coordinator, joins Healy+ from Vanderbilt University. Walls worked at Vanderbilt University’s Owen School of Business as the administrative manager of faculty support and previously served as an administrator in the School of Arts & Science School, where she monitored departmental budgets and faculty appointments, administered endowments and stewardship reporting, and provided support for departmental operations. Prior to her work at Vanderbilt, Walls worked with the Hofstra University School of Health Professions and Human Services for 15 years, during which time she earned both her bachelor’s degree and paralegal certification.
