Title
At Healy+ I get to work with an incredibly passionate, well-educated, dedicated, and highly skilled team in their respective areas of expertise. I am grateful for the variety of tasks this role moves between, including both client-facing and behind-the-scenes support. Providing a streamlined work environment that honors confidentiality, positively impacts the lives of others, and lends to the greater good is where my passion lies. Each day I get to work in that intersection, and knowing that drives me to be the best I can be.
Background
Sherry L. Hoover, MSW, joined The Healy+ Group in 2023 as Project Specialist. In this role, she provides exemplary service to every client from the proposal stage through project completion, ensuring the success of each partner engagement. Her extensive duties also include finance support, conference planning, and onboarding for new employees and associates. Immediately prior to Healy+, Sherry served in sales and customer support for the Professional Crisis Management Association, where she worked with universities, K-12, and the health care sector.
Sherry’s deep and rich experience in criminal justice programming informs her work at Healy+ as she coordinates projects pertaining to campus safety, security, and policing. Currently, she serves as an appointed member of the Criminal Justice Community Engagement Task Group, part of the Mecklenburg County, NC, Safety and Justice Challenge Initiative. As a Task Group member, she provides recommendations to the North Carolina Criminal Justice Advisory Group and collaborates with criminal justice stakeholders. Formerly, as Program Director for the Chesterfield County Sherriff’s Office in Virginia, Sherry collaborated with county and state stakeholders to develop an evidence-based innovative program for substance-dependent program participants. At Offender Aid and Restoration, a community-based nonprofit organization, she provided pre- and post-release program services to incarcerated adults. She delivered case management services for re-entry planning and provided increased stability for participants’ release.
Sherry also provided strong project management skills to Rehabilitative Services and Vocational Placement, Inc., where she provided vocational career coaching, counseling, and continued employment-focused support for high-functioning neuro-divergent and intellectually disabled adults.
